Living
Where the House Comes Alive
The kitchen sits at the centre of things — open to the dining table and the living room, so cooking is never separate from the conversation around it. Nothing is closed off; a gathering moves easily from one room to the next.
When the glass pockets away, the gathering carries out to the terrace and the lawn. There is a table under the sky, a lounge beside the fire, and the pool holding the last of the light along its edge.
Sunset here is not a view so much as an event the house is arranged around. West-facing rooms warm, then dim; the terraces fill; the canyon goes quiet.
